Remembrance Parade
12th November 2023
On the 12th November the group paraded through the road to the church as part of the Remembrance service, remembering those who gave their lives in wars around the world. Our members undertook significant roles in the service, including the carrying of flags, reading the Roll of Honour, planting crosses & laying wreaths at the memorial.
As per Wateringbury tradition, the Scouts had a sleepover at the Headquarters in the evening prior to the service, during which a recovered plaque remembering Wateringbury Scouts who gave their lives during the First World War was placed in the Headquarters, and can now be found on display in the Leaders Room.
